There are no pre-course study requirements for this course. In the face to face session participants are taught how to deal with the handling of sharps and infectious waste with confidence. Progressive scenarios and simple short written answers assessments throughout the course; the use of personal protective equipment, practical experience with handling and disposal of sharps and Infectious Waste using Barriers/PPE/litterpickers/sharp containers/Biohazard bags effective hand washing techniques plus containing and treating a bodily spill. Diseases and infection control covering communicable diseases, blood borne viruses (BBVs).
