HEARTSINE DONATES DEFIBRILLATOR TO SCHOOL OF MOSMAN TEACHER SAVED BY DEVICE - Through its Forward Hearts Program, HeartSine has donated a Samaritan® PAD 500P to Mosman Public school, NSW on behalf of one of its young teachers, Tristan Wallis, who was saved by a HeartSine AED (automated external defibrillator) earlier this year.
Mr Wallis was attending a school camp event when he suddenly collapsed in amongst fellow teachers and pupils. Realising that his heart had stopped, quick thinking colleagues began CPR immediately, called the emergency services and deployed a nearby HeartSine AED.
Forward Hearts lets survivors of a sudden cardiac arrest event, in which a HeartSine defibrillator has been used, to potentially save another life by donating a HeartSine Samaritan® PAD to the charity or organization of the survivor’s choice.
HeartSine is committed to saving lives and making public access AEDs more readily available. The donation of a HeartSine defibrillator through the Forward Hearts program extends this life-saving technology to even more people, offering many a better chance of survival in the case of sudden cardiac arrest.
