Defibrillator Training - Made Simple (Adopt-A-Defib clients group bookings only)

Workshop description

The perfect add-on to complement your recent Adopt-A-Defib purchase. This workshop is suitable for individuals, companies and organisations to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to make them confident and competent to defibrillate a casualty in an emergency situation and provide CPR. This includes advanced techniques for management of the administration of a semi and fully automated external defibrillator (AED) in line with the requirements of the Australian Resuscitation Council and State and Territory regulatory bodies. This training also involves working with personnel who are engaged in the resuscitation of the casualty. Suitable training for workplaces to undertake to complement their recent Adopt-A-Defib purchase.

Workshop content

• Management of an unconscious casualty

• Basic Life Support techniques including Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation 

• Attach and operate defibrillation equipment

• Safe procedure and effective use of an automated external defibrillator

• Recover and restore equipment

• Check defibrillation equipment

Prerequisites

The perfect add-on to complement your Adopt-A-Defib purchase. Minimum age for participants is 14 years. There are no prerequisites and no pre-course study required for this workshop.

Materials provided

A FREE CPR keyring resuscitation face mask. The use of quality, hygienic adult, junior & infant manikins and training Defibrillators. Up to date first aid material, PowerPoint presentation, DVDs.
